The Paper Menagerie was one of the best collections I’ve read – not always as a collection, in the sense that it wasn’t as tightly curated as something like Carmen Maria Machado’s Her Body and Other Parties, but as stories in any case. I’m looking forward to reading Jeffrey Ford’s collection!

There are so many books on the fiction list that I read and loved. I was very happy to see Kij Johnson’s book The Dream-Quest of Vellitt Boe as the winner. It was such a great book! I also loved the books by Victor LaValle, Seanan McGuire, and Ashante Wilson. I am looking forward to checking out the others.
